Who is the hero of the day

Respond to Alice's latest blog...

I think, sometimes, we don't need to think too much about how should life be, why my life is restrained in the template, etc. Because we are living this every moment. I still remember the sentence from The Last Samurai movie, "life in every breath". So, by the time we spend some time to think about life, we are lossing the moment of living. In other words, maybe what we should do, is just to cherish every moment, and live the way wonderful, brilliant, and splendid, as honest to our own feelings, honest to our soul.

I always do what i feel i should do. The first sentence of lyric of Stephanie Sun's first song in first album stated that, "when the feel is correctly channeled, i start my journey." It's kind of honest expression without thinking too much that i believed too much contemplation before acting may bring fake result. Anyway, contrary to my belief to live nicely in every breath, i admit frankly that sometimes i really wasted some 'moment' without doing anything useful. I let it blank, maybe unconciously, accidentally. I would like to say i lost tempararily. So, i am still hardworking to make my life colorful.

Sometimes, wondering why your day life be like that? Repeating mechanically..?

Relating to top of this blog before ending, i quote again this sentence,
"Who is the hero of the day?"
"The anonymous heroes who go to work everyday, who realize how repetitive it is and nevertheless live happily."

Sharing is priority

I quote the whole article below by my good friend:

###
This is the the closing words of Dr.Fitzhugh Dodson in his book "how to parent",i find it quite beautifully written,so i post it here :

     A FINAL WORD

This book has been full of the science of parenting.I hope it has also been full of common sense of parenting. To speak only of the science of parenting underestimates the intelligence of a mother. To speak only of the common sense of parenting overestimates the information of a mother.

I want my closing word to be one which goes beyond both science and common sense. My closing word is a word of feeling . . . a word of love.

The love of a mother for her child is more important than all of the scientific information she may acquire about how to raise that child. And the love of a mother for her child is more important than all the common sense she may have about how to raise that child.

As Santayana puts it in one of my favorite sonnets:

       It is not wisdom to be only wise;
And on the inward vision close the eyes.
But it is wisdom to believe the heart.

So mother,in the final analysis, believe your own heart! You may be unsure of how to handle some particular situation with your child.Science may tell u one thing n your own heart may tell you something else.Believe your own heart!Common sense may tell you one thing n your own heart may tell u another.Believe your own heart!

People over thirty call it "heart." Those under thirty call it "soul." But whatever name u use,it is the same thing.Perhaps we should try to bridge the generation gap n call it "heart and soul." But "heart and soul," as anyone knows,is a code word for "love." So why don't we call it by that simple and universal word : love .

Science is important in raising your child.Common sense is important also. But love is the most important of all.

Science, common sense, and love. . .these three.
But the greatest of these is love.

Love

There are parts of stories in our life.
Today, is the end of one part.
Tomorrow, will be the first day of new semester.

Recalling my holiday, it was about the same with those previous vacations, but it was somehow different. I think such difference was caused by my effort to cherish my holiday.
I really treat myself as enjoying my precious holiday.
So, i damped myself in the joy of spontaneity, relaxing and simplicity.
This was really a holiday. No works. No pressure.
Everyday in holiday,
i read newspaper in the morning...
fetch sisters from school or to tuition classes...
read some self-improvement articles(not too often la ^_^)...
do some watering-etc "agricultural"-kind of stuff behind my house near the river...
watch tv drama and joking with sisters...
chat a bit with parents...
re-read a bit of some novel...
think in vain...
think about friends and girl before sleeping...
It was dull, simple, but nice.

Between family members, between friends,
relationship is being strengthened, distance is becoming shorter.
I am happy.
I am true to myself.
I see soul.
I sense my heart.
I feel closer.
I am not apart.
I feel love.

I can't control myself

I see the glare in her eyes that are spiritual and lively, the lines of her eyelashes gain perfection to the window of soul.
Her face is so perfect and alluring with her sensitive emotions that show charmful fermininity and sensuality.
Her cheeks make strong impulse to my sense that i feel eagerness to kiss her, to touch her sensuous face.
Sticking out her little tounge from her mouth after acting like a spoiled child, there is no reason for me to reject any of her asking, i will just indulge her for a moment of stare from her.

I am getting mad, and fond of her. Ops, too desperate i think ^_^''' .

My course

Architecture course is not a course that is grand or superb. I rather believe that it is a process of learning. It is not about destination, but also about journey. Maybe i am not rich man one day in the future, maybe not even an architect, but at least i am now learning on the way.

What is architecture?
This seems more to be a boring question that has been asked again and again to architecture students, but the answers to it would be variable with great versatility.

Architecture, runs parallel with time.
Architecture is always a reflection ot the times. It draws its inspiration from social trends, technology innovation, and arts forms. It can be said as the product of the particular period of time because it shows how people live during the period of time. According to dictionary, the term "architecture" is interpreted as the style or manner of building in a particular country or period of history. Long long time ago, humans believed in god and they built giant scaled buildings like pyramids merely to serve their god or religious purpose. When people were heading to greater civilization with more awareness and confidence of man ability, dependence on industrialization and modernization, as well as the wider global connection, the term "architecture" is being enriched and interrelated. Buildings are no more served for dwelling and religious purpose, but stands on this earth for memorial, services, entertaiment, or even with mobility, etc. Life is no longer dull and simple, so as buildings. As long as the bulding is still standing, it can tell the story of its period, because it reveals identity.

Architecture, the body contains of solidity and abstract.
The art and science of bulding, including its planning, making and decoration. This explaination is undoubtedly correct, yet not thoroughly correct. Because, it is not only about building, built by masses of masonry, stones, steel or glass. Building itself is not enough to define architecture, but the quality of space. The space may not be defined by solid materials, or may not be covered, but it has the quality and spirit within. It can either be as simple as a mound of soil, or complex with de-con styled irregular masses. This depends on how people define it sincerely and properly. For an instance, passing by a mound of soil with few rocks or a bar of wood on top, your awareness makes you to feel respect to it, and tells you the possibility that it may be a grave. Fundamentally, the Holy Grail of architecture is to create somewhere spiritual to evoke awareness nicely and properly. That somewhere can be standing permanently, by giving a break or gap to the continuity of time. Because the moment of the "gap" is spent to aware of the quality of space.

Architecture, is by human, for human.
Architecture, is about life, our life. As i said for times, it is not only about buldings. Or, maybe i can say in other mean. A building is not only a product of architecture and a piece of arts, but it must be combined also with humanities by taking considerations of ALL about humans. Proportion, height, materials, functions, etc are all considered based o human needs and comfort. In hospital, bright and well-ventilated room is needed;lounge should not be too low; ramp in front of entrance is a must for the disabled; drops should be avoided for flat interior, etc. Into more details, for example an ancient castle for fortification, the spiral staircase of guard tower was built according to clockwise direction so that enermies who want to attack upwards could not attack nicely due to the inconvenience of central mass that block their right hand movement (most of the people use their right hand to hold weapons).

So, consideration should be taken based on human, but perfection can be only achieved when architecture for human and environment is compromised. A good architecture can only be achieved with firm conviction, sincerity, faith and of course knowledge. Architects should work and bear the responsibility, role and true calling to create a place for human with functions, safety and comfort, that should be able to co-exist with environment. Architecture needs passion and enthusiasm to challenge its peak. So do other courses, of course.

Again, fragments

Staying in this "flawful" cyber cafe in Tg.Malim, here, i am going to blog without being interrupted by those "unfriendly" fragile factors. Maybe, just i am the one who is not so "environmental-free" ^_^ . There is a Chinese old sentence, "you come to this place, just make yourself being with this place." ^_^ Ok, take a deep breath... here i come

Yesterday night, inspired by The Star news, i have sent sms to plenty of friends with the text below:
" Plz fill in the blank 'i love ___'. Plz reply me if u r free n willing to answer. Thx. Have a nice day. "
The action has cost my phone credit until resulted in RM3 something left and lots of questions back. The main reason is that most of the people don't reply the sms straight forward, but they asked the reason i did that. Hmm... ^_^ well, i answered that it is just for more understanding and fun between friends. Actually, i am a bit tired to answer them about my purpose due to my hope to get straight forward responce. Anywhere, i saw humanities, versatility, curiousity, etc.

And then, i saw different kinds of answers. for examples,... (hmm, not straightly copied and pasted here, just the main meaning)
"i love myself..." (showing some of his ego and determination to improve himself..)
"i love xxx..." (his boyfriend. it is frank and honest without flourish word-decoration. i like her reply and actually i could guess her answer)
"i love him, my family, my friends, etc." (this kind of answer i received the most, showing inherent humanities. It is not good or bad. It is about humanities. It is greedy to love many people at once, yet it is so kind that one is willing to love so many people. )
"i love the morning at about 7am..." (This one is considered the most strange answer, because he said the morning is so nice that he can take good snifts of fresh air, listening to birds chirping. Yes, indeed, generally, morning is the best moment of one day. And, i can assure to you that one can hear birds, cock, or chickens chirping around my house area every minutes before the dark cover the sky. ^_^ It is just out of topic.)
...
etc.

I received replies and answers via sms. Thank you for "participating". And sorry that i didn't send my sms to some of my friends due to the limit of my handphone card memory. It is really a stupid handphone that i am using now. It can only receive about 20 sms. You can imagine the dramatic situation while sending sms and failed because replied sms that i received took quite much space already. ^_^
